2010 Winter Meeting Ballot Items

The following tentative ballot items will be voted on in the 2010 winter meeting for the league. This list will grow as the meeting approaches.

1.) Shall the pitchers rubber be retained at 50ft or moved back to 46ft?
Insructions: Managers are instructed to cast a proxy vote for their pitcher(s) by posing this issue to their pitcher(s) prior to the meeting and getting their consensus on how to vote. If you are not a pitcher and you have not canvased your pitcher(s), please consider abstaining from this vote.

2.) Shall the batters box rule be retained as one bat length forward of the leading edge of the plate? (If either foot steps on or goes over, batter is out.)

3.) Shall we again purchase all yellow high visibility softballs and no white softballs for daylight games?

4.) Shall we amend the Shamrock ground rules as explained in the meeting?

5.) For a teams 4th game of the season and onward. If they have a below 500 record, shall they be allowed to field 5 outfielders with a mandatory 3 deep and 2 short configuration at moment of contact with the ball? Short fielders would be required to have one in short left and one in short right.

6.) Shall a team be allowed to insert however many players they wish into the batting order that show up for their team? (Multiple DH's) They would be allowed one DH in hitting positions 1-11. After that, all other DH's would be at the bottom of the order. Once in the lineup is presented, players are NOT allowed to be switched into another batting position.

7.) Shall we amend the designated runner from home plate rule to allow a temporarily injured batter to have a substitute runner?
