Ah yes, the waning days of January.
One thing that jars me every December is when the clocks fall back. The next Monday I am commuting home with my lights on and it is dark by the time I reach Rand Rd.
Now here we are on the 28th of January and the sun is up a little longer. I can make it home now with a tad of daylight left.
It was neat to catch some of the coverage of the Cubs and Sox convention earlier in the month. A few times, I took the glove out of the closet and held it up over my face and breathed deeply. The smell of a baseball glove instantly reminds me of warm summer days.
Not to rush though. After Christmas and New Years we all tend to settle in for a while, catchup on projects around the house, have a date with our sweeties that were so busy orchestrating all those holiday plans.
Still, quietly and as time permits, there is background work for the league being done as we prepare for the winter meeting of our league.
Check this space on Feb 1st.
For now, Peace be with you.
In Christ,
Doug Peterson.
