umpires

i wish if a team puts an umpire behind the plate would actually know the rules of the game. i also wonder when people (christians)will stop using we are sinners as there excuse to break the coc.

That's where enforcement comes into play. ;-)

what about umpires not knowing correct rules

Anyone called upon to umpire should become familiar with not only our league specific rules, but should also have a sound grasp of the game. It is incumbent upon managers to make sure whomever they put out there, is capable.

In the event something happens during the game when there is an obvious oversight of the rule(s), there is the power of the timeout that any manager can use to call a halt and conduct a civil conference at home plate with both managers and both umpires and both assistant managers attending.

What happens if the wrong call is made at it affects the outcome.

Are you referring to the highly paid MLB umpire who made the bad call that cost the pitcher a perfect game?

If you are looking for perfection from paid umps, you will not get it.
