Picnic, HR Derby, All-star game and Tournament Update.

Please begin to ramp up your plans for your teams picnic as a part of our annual league picnic, HR derby and all-star game festivities!

Remember, it is July 24th, 2 PM for Picnic kickoff. (1 PM on for early arrivals to setup.)

Rookie managers, each team is responsible to bring EVERYTHING you will need for your own teams picnic. No alcohol and no pets!

From a fellowship perspective, this date is the highlight of the season in my opinion. So talk it up, plan and execute the plan for this event as best you can!

In order to promote closer fellowship, each team will be assigned a picnic site at the Township on a first come basis. The goal will be one continuous line of picnics right next to each other.

All star selections should be e-mailed to me ASAP. One guy, one gal. Please do NOT select or allow your players to vote for people that can not attend the game.

HR derby now has the added prize of 2 tickets to a Brewers game as well as the trophy. Derby should start around 3 - 3:30.

Here is important tournament info. Tiffany did a a granular look at the schedule and time to finish for both. The results requires the league to adjust the number of teams that will be eligible for the Platinum double-elimination tournament. Read on.

Registration Details:

* This is an OPT IN tournament.
* You do NOT play if you do NOT register.
* Please check with your team that you can field a team on EVERY date of the Tournament. If you cannot, please do NOT register for the Tournament!
* The fee per team is $5.00 and is non-refundable.
* You are NOT registered until you are paid in full. CASH is preferable please!
* Tournament Registration Begins at Township Ball field Monday July 12th 6:15 PM.
* Registration closes Monday evening Aug. 26th at 8:30 PM. No second chances beyond that time and date.
* Tournament begins Monday Aug. 2nd. (Weather permitting and Lord Willin').
* Final standings will determine if you are in the Platinum Tournament or the Gold, thus, you will NOT be allowed to pick which tournament you are signing up for.
* Top six registered teams per division will be placed in the Platinum Tournament. (Remainder in Gold Tournament.)
* Tie breaker for the 6th spot (if needed), will be who won the head to head competition during the regular season.
* Gold Championship game scheduled for 8/23 6:30. Platinum scheduled for 7:30 (game 2 @ 8:30 if necessary).
* All dates are based on all 26 teams signing up.
* Schedule adjustments will be made if teams opt not to sign up.
* All Managers will be ASSIGNED umpiring duties in the tournament. You may opt out and appoint your asst. mgr.
* Bring your vest.

Tournament Dates are;

* Platinum Double Elimination Tournament:
* 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, Friday 8/20, and 8/23.
* The Friday evening semi-final game is subject to both teams being able to play that evening.
* If one or both cannot play the 20th, they must mutually agree to play one of the following dates:
* Tues. 8/17 or Wed. 8/18 or Thurs. 8/19 If they cannot play at all that week, they forfeit.

* Gold Single Elimination Tournament:
* 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, 8/23
