Winter Meeting Recap

The leagues winter meeting was held on Monday evening Feb 13th at Faith Presbyterian Church in McHenry. With 30 or so representatives attending. Several ballot items were voted on. Change the name of the league (Failed 13-10) Change playoff format (Failed 21-3) Shorten season by 1 or 2 games (Failed 17-7) Schedule tournament games on Sunday afternoon (Failed 16-8) Guarantee Impartial Umpires during elimination games at playoffs (PASSED 15-8) Not voting were 4 teams (not represented at the meeting), so as you can see, your vote DOES count! The Spring meeting will be held on Monday evening April 9th at 7PM. Place TBD. New to the league this year is The Orchard Church of McHenry. This rounds out our roster to a total of 28 teams. We weclome The Orchard and look forward to having them in our band of brothers and sisters in Christ. The 2012 season is tentatitvely scheduled to begin on Monday April 16th or 23rd.
