Crystal Lake Expansion Update Part III

Regrettably, the McHenry Christian Fellowship Softball League must announce we have not been able to obtain a quorum of teams for our proposed new Crystal Lake Conference expansion We had hoped to incubate this new conference with between 6-8 teams and then watch it grow from there.

With no solid commitments from any churches extended an invitation, we have no choice but to cancel these plans for this year. We have pressing insurance deadlines that require us to list all our teams and the number of players plus the named insured entities and thus, we can wait no longer to see if a quorum can develop.

We have no room up north for any new teams either. Perhaps next year we will try again.

Thank you Jack Sebesta, Superintendant of Parks for Crystal Lake for graciously making fields available for our potential use this year. Jack, feel free to remove the reservation on them and make available to the community on Monday evenings.

I believe God wants this to happen in Crystal Lake and it is regrettable it did not happen this year. Perhaps next year.
