It's time of year again when our schedule takes a serious ramp up! June 4th is Twilight Time! (Lord Willin’)
With twilight time comes added responsibility for the 6:30 and 7:30 games managers on the unlit fields.
For 6:30 gamers, your job is to get the game going at 6:30 or even a few minutes earlier. Golden Rule applies here! Once underway, keep the game moving quickly, especially between innings.
Remember that the 2 and 2 count is mandatory at top of the 5th.
Remember the lower slaughter (13 run lead at end of 4, 5 or 6) and remember the ‘firecracker’ rule of 20 or more runs at end of 4, 5 or 6.
7:30 managers, it behooves you to arrive early, even before 6:30, in order to politely prod things along at the 6:30 games so that your game starts as early as possible at the conclusion of the 6:30 game. IF you run out of daylight and cannot play a full 7 innings, the games is NOT over, it is suspended and to be continued at a time and place agreeable to both parties
