Past Rain Out Track Record

Someone posted on the BLOG last evening regarding rain outs.  That got me to thinking to check the archives.

The league has consistently had a 12 games schedule the last several years.  Looking at the archives going back to 2006, the stats show a total of 30 games that were rained out BUT NOT made up.  Some were left unplayed voluntarily,  Total number of games played is included below.

2006 4 games unplayed 15 teams x 12 games = 180 games
2007 4 games unplayed 17 teams x 12 games = 204
2008 10 games unplayed 19 teams x 12 games = 228
2009  0 games unplayed 23 teams x 12 games = 276
2010  0 games unplayed 26 teams x 12 games = 312
2011 12 games unplayed 27 teams x 12 games = 324

This tells me it is way to early to get concerned.  My experience with the managers in the league is that they care just as much as the players and want to play the games, all of them. 

So, the weather will clear and we will play again.  Of that, I am certain!
